Alma Cottage is situated in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there is always something interesting to see nearby, at any time of year.
Here are a few pictures -
Spartacus the rescued hedgehog, later released at Fountains Abbey
Red deer, at the Deer Park, Studley Royal

Sheep in the fields around Kirkby Malzeard
And from the RSPB website, a few of the birds you can expect to see
Grouse, lapwing and curlew are regular sightings in the local area.
We are sometimes lucky enough to see red kites too, over the moor.
